Tasting - Black Ridge White Zinfandel
Name: Black Ridge White Zinfandel
Variety: Zindandel
Region: California
Country: USA
Year: NV
Price: $3.95
Winery Review: This fruit forward White Zinfandel displays fresh aromas and crisp flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. It is incredibly food friendly and will pair well with burgers, sandwiches, fruit salad, and more.
My Review: This "baby girl" pink wine had an overwhelmingly fruity aroma (like sticking your head into a car full of berries after it had been sitting in the hot summer sun all day). There was a small acid component, but it was not enough to balance out the amount of fruit present in the wine.
I tasted this wine on its own, without food.
